In a bit of a switch around Hena came out with Tau and I took a small detour and chose a speed freak army.

Deployment.
SF put the bikes and KOS in landas. There are no garrisons.
Tau Garrison the Broadsides on the road between buildings (OK, we made a mistake and they setup in the buildings!) and the Kroot in the woods. Both on overwatch.

Turn One.
Initiative - Tau
Fearing the arrival of two landa's the Barracuda's are ordered into a CAP orbit near the FEBA.
Fighta Bommerz Three dive out of the air to attack the broadsides. One is shot down by flak and the one hit is saved by the battlesuits.
At the castle ramparts the kroot are told to reset on overwatch (they are puzzled how they will shoot, but trust the Shas'O to know best!).
Fighta Bommerz Two now approach so only the scorpion can fire, but another ork flyer is brought down. They shoot at the broadsides but again can't damage the mighty walkers.
As they can't dig a moat the brown battlesuit cadre go onto overwatch.
Fighta Bommerz One flies in to attack the firewarriors. Again one is shot down (damn flak!) and the only hit on a devilfish is saved!
The scorpionfish feels save were it is and goes on overwatch.
Blitz Brigade 2 doubles forward behind a wood in the center.
Seeing the super heavy Stingrays 1 decide overwatch is the way to go.
Warband 2 Doubles foward glad to be moving. They move to the eastern edge and take both objectives on that flank.
The firewarriors elect to marshall and move forward! Almost leaving the castle their lone blast marker is removed.
Seeing the blue skins doing all this sittin' around Warband 1 decide to join in. However they just bicker and remove the blast marker for failing to activate!
The Pathfinders are ordered to double forward. They decided that the Shas'O must be wrong and sit still, removing the blast marker.
BB-1 double forward to hide behind the wood just to their front.
AMHC double forward just to bring BB-2 into sight. The rail cannons reach out and 3 hit only destroying one gunwagaon.
With everyting marker lit and lots on OW Landa with Bikes is ordered to stand down.
Stingray 2 doulbe forward poping up to bring BB-2 into range. 1 hits destroys a flak wagon.
The broadsides double down the road and shoot at BB-2. One more gunwagon is destoryed breaking the tanks.
The Shas'O advances slightly deeper into the woods to his front.

BB-1 double forward into the teeth of the Tau battle line. They open up at the AMHC but the only hit is saved.
The Landa with bikes is now called in to assault the Broadsides. The Barracuda's fly on to CAP the landa, they fly through BB-2's flak umbrella but they miss the tau planes. The barracudas hit the landa once and the ground flak hits with 3 out of 4 seeker missile salvos! So 4 hits with RA 5+ save. First saves - 3,3,3,4. Hmm good job I get to reroll. 1,2,4,5. One dead Landa full of bikes. :(
The broadsides decide overwatch is a great plan now!
FightBommez 3 are ordered to intercept the tau fliers but stand down instead
THe kroot march into the buildings just to their front.
Fighta Bommerz two take off to interecpt the barracudas. For once the flak misses and the two ork flyers hit. Some desperate jinking sees the tau planes survive.
The brown Crisis suits double forward. They destroy one gunwagon of BB-1.
Fighta Bommerz One now enter the fray to attack the broadsides. 3 flak slavos are fired and they all hit (on 5+!) The ork pilots desperately jink their planes and manage to survie! (This was the high point of my dice!).
The Shas'O doubles forward to bring BB-1 into MW range. Their standard guns miss but 3 MW hits are scored. With only two tanks in range they are destroyed and the formation broken.
BB-2 double forward to shoot at stingray-2. The broadsides take their overwatch shoot's hitting 4 and killing 3 tanks. The lone flak wagon breaks back to the south east corner.
Once again the Pathfinders are ordered to double but refuse!
WB-2 doubles to hold the eastern objective and be in the tau half of the board.
AMHC doubles forward and shoots at the broken BB-1. Two hits are saved.
Landa+KOS flies on to strafe the firewarriors. The scorpion flak misses but the landa's shooting only hits one devilfish, destroying it.
The firewarriors double forward.
WB-1 doubled forward but stayed out of sight of the tau.
Stingray-1 double forward to begin the destruction of WB-1. 6 hits are scored and 4 units are removed.
Stingray-2 set overwatch.

Landa-LOS leaves with 2 BM.
FB-1 leave with 2 BM.
FB-2 loose another plane to flak and leave with 3 BM.

AMHC is ordere to double, but they check with the Shas'O before moving. The marker light WB-1 and open fire with all their weapon systems. 8 hits cause 6 more deaths.
Stingray-1 then sustain at the lit WB-1. 6 hits kill 5 more units.
WB-1 now marshalls. They move back getting all the infantry into the buildings. 10 BM's are removed.
Kroot are oreder to march but refuse.
FB-3 are ordered to ground attack. The flak misses and they destroy one devilfish of the pathfinders.
The baracuda's are ordered back on cap but refuse.
FB-2 are ordered to ground attack but they stand down.
The Firewarriors double forward and shoot at WB-1 to no effect.
FB-1 enter the battlefield to ground attack. They attack the scorpionfish. 2 hits are scored but both are saved.
The pathfinders marshall, moving into the buildings and removing all blast markers.
Landa+KOS flies in to assault the scorpionfish in a do or die mission. The scorpionfish flak hits twice, causing one DC but not going critical. The scorpionfish then opens up with OW fire. 4 hits kill 3 units. In the assault the orks score one hit that is saved. The scorpionfish also manages one hit, killing a skorcha. So its a straight roll and its no supreis when the tau win by 1.
Crisis brown double and shoot at WB-1, destroying one truk.
WB-2 go on overwatch.
Broadsides advance and kill 5 more units from WB-2
Stingray-2 double and shoot missiles at WB-1. One more trukk is despatched.
The Shas'O doubles into the wood but can't see any targets.

Shas'O doubles to block in WB-1 and contest the blitz. 5 hits kill 3 units.
The firewarriors then retain, calling co-ordinated fire with stingray-1. They double forward and 2 hits are scored, killing 2 more units.
The stingrays then sustain fire. 8 hits kill 6 units and the warband is broken.
BB-1 now doubles forward to shoot at Stingray-2 in an attempt to save WB-1. They miss with all their shots.
Still needing the stingrays stoped, FB-1 are ordered into the air, but even the shouts from the warboss fail to get them moving.
The kroot march forward.
The lone plane of FB-2 now enters the field of battle. But its shot down before it can shoot.
Stingray-2 now sustains fire at WB-1. 4 hits kill 4 units. Leaving only 2 units left in WB-1.
FB-3 decided to stand down.
Baracudas enter to attack WB-1 but only one is removed for the blastmarker.
BB-2 doubles forward and places a blast marker on crisis brown.
Crisis brown is orderd to march, they don't think it such a good idea. After discussion with the Shas'O they still think they shouldn't move, and remove the blast marker the BB gave them.
Knowing they can't do anything to save the game WB-2 remain on overwatch.
The scorpionfish doubles and removes the final unit of WB-1.
At this point the game ends by mutual agreement.
